Intensive care Unit

At THC we have a 8 bed intensive unit. The critical care unit is air-conditioned and accepts patients with problems such as myocardial infarcts (heart attack), stroke, diabetic coma and other electrolyte problems, trauma and head injury, poisoning as well as septicaemia. It is an open ICU and physicians not consulting in THC are welcome to admit their patients and direct their care. .

Facilities supportive of quality care :

Dialysis facility on premises making it a complete ICU. Few hospitals can boast of this facility.

Temporary pacemaker and a team adept at carrying out the procedure.

Post graduate Intensivists to take care of our patients. All doctors with very impressive past records manning ICU.

Trained and qualified nursing staff in the ICU. Experienced in ICU care and have been working in intensive care units of various corporate hospitals in Mumbai until recently. We have a 2:1 coverage of the beds by qualified nurses so that patients have the best of care at all times.

4 ventilators. Thanks to the ventilator support many physicians find it convenient to admit their serious cases with us likewise surgeons find it hassle free to operate their HIGH RISK cases in our OT.

Central oxygen with right and left bank with an automatic switch over and alarm system ensuring a steady uninterrupted supply at all times

Multipara monitors with ETCO2 monitoring speaks of a high end ICU care.

Central monitoring for the beds enables the staff to monitor all the beds very minu

tely.

24 hrs Pathology, Radiology and Chemist ensures no running around for the relatives.

Generator support for all the equipment as well as the AC's means no power cuts for THC !!
